FRONT DESk coordinator
VMAC Front Desk Staff are the face of our studio, building and maintaining the community through exceptional customer service, creating a welcoming environment and facilitating studio operations and sales. They serve as a guide to our members and guests, setting the tone for their experience and navigating them through our services. The Front Desk
Coordinator will embody the VMAC mission and culture with strong interpersonal communication skills, extensive knowledge of our services and enthusiasm for maintaining the presentation of our facility. The Coordinator will ensure all Front Desk Work Study Staff duties are accomplished and will be in charge of coordinating their schedule and training. VMAC is looking for a dedicated, service-minded individual who is passionate about sharing the benefits of dance with others. The right candidate will thrive in a fast paced environment and be able to multitask and handle a variety of responsibilities and situations concurrently. |
Reports to: Studio Manager.
Anticipated Schedule:
Mondays: 5:00PM - 8:30PM
Tuesdays: 3:30PM - 8:30PM
Wednesdays: 3:30PM - 8:30PM
Thursdays: 5:00PM - 8:30PM
Saturdays: 9:00AM - 11:30AM
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
-Directs a smooth and efficient flow at the front desk during busy check-ins times.
-Actively promotes and sells memberships, workshops, and retail offerings.
-Educates guests about the details of our offerings and products.
-Works with MindBody Online for all bookings and transactions, with a high degree of accuracy.
-Interfaces with MindBody Messenger to return phone calls, answer emails, and send text messages on behalf of the studio
-Compassionately holds boundaries and enforces VMAC policies.
-Executes and ensures execution of daily maintenance tasks, upholding a clean, safe, organized and aesthetically pleasing studio and retail space.
- Train, staff, schedule and supervise Front Desk Work Study team members
-Coordinates Front Desk Work Study Staff schedules, communicating with Front Desk team regarding coverage needs and ensuring all shifts are covered.
-Runs errands such as picking up print orders, studio restocking items
-Supports management and leadership teams by communicating and providing feedback regarding the needs of the studio and needs/concerns of the Work Study staff.

REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 1 year commitment.
- Strong sales and customer service skills.
- At least 1 year experience in a similar leadership role.
- Ability to problem solve and take initiative.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize.
- Strong computer skills; previous experience with MindBody Online Business a huge plus.
- Works effectively within a team as well as independently.
- Familiarity with VMAC classes and pricing is a plus.
- Facebook and messenger account for communication with Front Desk Staff and Management.
